Sério, eu simplesmente não sei mais do que esperar do Jereme Rogers, ou melhor "JR Blastoff"! Era como eu estava falando no capítulo anterior, tem que rir muito pra não chorar. Nem vou perder muito tempo dessa vez: ele confirmou o seu retorno ao Skate numa nova entrevista, que por sinal é o maior agregado de arrogância e ingenuidade que eu já vi na vida. 

Primeiro de tudo ele vai continuar na porcaria do rap sussurrado dele, e enquanto isso, sem nenhum patrocinador ou ajuda, ele vai começar sua própria marca: a Selfish Skateboards (isso mesmo, ele escolheu o pior nome que pode existir, "egoísta"). Sem falar que ele deve estar duro bagarai, tendo que pagar 3 barão por mês pelo Aston Martin, aquele lá do clipe. E apesar de tudo isso ele ainda acredita que no fim todo mundo vai respeitá-lo, já que seus decks vão ser 100% maple canadense vindo com um CD de nerd-white-whisper-rap grátis junto, além de, é claro, ele voltar sendo um dos TOP-3 skatistas do mundo.

Meu deus, esse cara é cretinamente hilário. Ele devia ter seu próprio programa de TV!

O entrevistador (a quem dou os parabéns pelo sarcasmo) resumiu a história do melhor jeito possível:

"It seems like only yesterday I was in the UK with Jereme Rogers & the Red Bull team for an episode on FUEL TV and an article for The Skateboard Mag. I went on to call the article An American Rapper In London due to the fact it was the first time the world became aware of Jereme's whisper rapping, which he did all-day, every-day on the tour. At the time I thought it was just a joke---wait, that's not right. I still think his rapping is quite jokey. What I meant to say is I thought it was just a phase a very confused boy was going through. But the "phase" snowballed into a notion of grandeur that ultimately led to him turning his back on his lucrative professional skate career and pursuing a dream of becoming a professional rapper. Less than a year later Jereme is back to announce he's out of retirement to reclaim his position in "top 3" of skateboarding's best. With no sponsors and no support he is going it alone. First step, start his own board brand, Selfish Skateboards. After that, win all the contests he enters. After that? who knows? Hopefully write a song about it. In a very short amount of time JR Blastoff has gone from PJ Ladd's sidekick and industry darling to skateboarding leper. It's going to be very interesting to see where things go from here for him or at the very least, quite entertaining."
